DNA Creative Communications (DNA), the Upstate’s leading marketing and public relations firm for nonprofits, presented to a class of Clemson University communication studies students about stakeholder communications on March 3.
“Presenting to a class that I was sitting in as a student just two years ago is such a surreal feeling,” said Katie Ward, Account Coordinator at DNA. “I enjoy sharing my experiences with these future public relations professionals and can’t wait to see how their goals transpire.”
Most of the students in the class were junior and senior communication studies students who are ready for internships and jobs in the industry. Presentation topics ranged from crisis communications and brand handling, to social media and prioritizing stakeholders. DNA used as many “real world” examples as we could to show the class what goes on in our jobs each day.
