Public Education Partners Fundraising Campaign Materials
Public Education Partners is a local education fund dedicated to improving student achievement in Greenville County Public Schools. The organization works to strengthen public education and in turn create a stronger community. Public Education Partners supports early grades reading by supplying high-poverty schools with books and providing students with at-home summer libraries. In addition to strong advocacy efforts, Public Education Partners also supports quality teaching by sponsoring orientation and networking events for first-year teachers and funding innovative practices that strengthen classroom learning.
To fund their important programs and advocacy efforts on behalf of public schools, the organization seeks out corporate and individual community partners. Public Education Partners teamed up with DNA to develop engaging and persuasive materials to use in reaching potential funders for their beneficial initiatives. DNA developed a captivating promotional packet that clearly conveys the organization’s mission and establishes a strong case for supporting public education through Public Education Partners.
The primary goals for the creation of the 2014 Public Education Partners Promotional Packet were to present the organization in a professional manner that depicts the value of the organization to the community, succinctly communicate opportunities for involvement by individuals and corporations and ultimately motivate people to take action and offer their support.
To begin working toward achieving the client’s goals, DNA first conducted a marketing audit which included a thorough review of all of the organization’s existing materials as well as pieces formerly used to communicate PEP’s story. Through ongoing communication with the client, DNA established a firm grasp on their needs and the true essence of the organization. A top priority was adherence to PEP’s brand identity standards that DNA had previously worked with the group to establish. An energizing new name and logo were developed for the educational organization at that time and DNA helped the client recognize the value in consistent use of PEP’s colors, fonts and graphics in the new promotional packet.
DNA recommended versatile components for the promotional packet including a new pocket folder, an attractive and unique brochure and inserts that could be easily updated and customized for different audiences. Copy for the pieces was crafted in a manner to draw readers in and concisely communicate the organization’s important work. Next, DNA carefully chose appealing photos that captured the difference PEP is making in the lives of the children and teachers it serves. The finished product is a strategically designed packet that will help PEP raise its profile, expand their reach and increase contributions and funders.
