DNA Creative Communications (DNA) is now welcoming applications for its 2013 LIVE HERE GIVE HERE (LHGH) pro-bono program. Through the year-long initiative, DNA donates its services to strategically support a nonprofit’s annual communications campaign.

“LHGH is much more than a pro-bono service; it’s a partnership,” noted Debbie Nelson, Principal and Founder of DNA. “As we provide resources, knowledge and expertise to our LHGH recipient, we also invest in their mission. Together we create an enhanced, sustainable communications strategy that works to provide an even more direct, achievable impact within our community.”

Now in its 4th year, LHGH allows DNA to develop a strategic partnership with one Upstate nonprofit agency for an entire year—enhancing their ability to implement and maintain sustainable communications strategies. During this time, DNA conducts a communications audit, develops a comprehensive plan and recommended branding, marketing and/or public relations tools, and assists in the plan’s execution. Moreover, DNA serves as a mentor throughout the year to the organization’s staff to ensure the campaign’s long-term sustainability.

DNA’s LHGH recipient for 2012 was Mobile Meals of Spartanburg. To better convey its mission to provide nutritious meals, services and fellowship to the frail and homebound citizens of Spartanburg County, Mobile Meals partnered with DNA on rebranding efforts.

“Since our establishment in 1977, Mobile Meals has evolved into a multi-faceted and dynamic organization,” noted Jayne McQueen, Founder. “As a result of DNA’s LHGH program, we were able to better capture the essence of our organization through an enhanced logo, creative messaging and updated marketing materials.”

Last month in celebration of its 35th year in service to the frail and homebound, Mobile Meals proudly unveiled its new tagline, “Love in Action,” along with a new logo that more fully expresses its delivery of love, compassion and hope to those in need. The organization also launched a newly revamped website: www.mobile-meals.org.

Nonprofits interested in applying for the 2013 LIVE HERE GIVE HERE Program are encouraged to fill out an application at www.dnacc.com. Please call 864.235.0959 x0 or email merrymac@dnacc.com with any questions or concerns. The deadline to apply is December 3, 2012.

LHGH is a complement to DNA’s other nonprofit initiative: its “Shine the Light on Your Nonprofit” seminar series. The educational series is open to nonprofits and their boards to learn targeted skills crucial to their public relations strategies. Past series topics have included branding, crisis communications, special event planning and more. DNA will be announcing the 2013 curriculum early next year.
