Whitney Howell, Account Executive at DNA Creative Communications, recently made a presentation on behalf of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) for J.L. Mann students interested in the advertising field.
Howell spoke to the students about AAF’s Diversity Internship program, a two-week summer program that allows students to explore their interest in advertising, as well as make lasting connections with local businesses in the communications industry. She also informed them about the types of jobs available in the field, the different skill-sets involved and how to prepare for a career in the field. In the interactive session, students were able to ask questions they have about advertising careers and dialogue about the information that Howell presented.
Howell volunteers as a member of AAF’s Diversity Internship Committee, helping to publicize the internship opportunity and recruit applicants from high schools in the Greenville area.
