Debbie Nelson, small business owner, recently presented the November seminar for the YWCA’s monthly yW Emerging Entrepreneur series. The group focuses on educating and equipping women and minorities with the skills for success in business.
Nelson, owner of Debbie Nelson & Associates and the 2005 Small Business of the Year recipient, spoke on business marketing. The presentation, entitled “Shoestring Marketing: Building Your Business within Your Budget,” highlighted a variety of hands-on and cost-effective tactics to jump-start a business.
Attendees to the presentation constituted a variety of business in different stages of their marketing campaigns. Nelson offered practical solutions to reaching the right audiences from her 10 years in the marketing, advertising and public relations fields.
