DNA Creative Communications’ Principal, Debbie Nelson, has recently been invited to serve on the transit planning initiative committee for the Greenville Transit Authority. Along with other well-respected leaders from the Greenville community, Nelson will participate in the planning effort to be coordinated by URS Corp.
The purpose of this committee is to develop a transit vision and master plan which will include short-term improvements, a transit vision, a long term master plan and sustainable financial plans. These initiatives will provide a framework for funding a mass transit facility, transit equipment and service improvements. Overall goals include reducing road congestion, providing affordable transportation options, reducing air pollution and contributing to economic development and redevelopment in the Greenville community.
