When she went back to school to study graphic design, there were those who doubted Sonya Brown could turn her degree into a career. Fifteen years later, she's proved them wrong.

As art director for DNA, Sonya develops concepts and designs for print, outdoor, collateral, direct mail and web advertising. She also handles all print production and photo retouching. She's worked with such clients as Michelin, Costa Del mar and DaimlerChrysler, and has won multiple silver and gold Addy awards.

A Clemson graduate with degrees in marketing and graphic design, Sonya confesses that her first loves are travel and photography. "I lived in Prague, Czech Republic for seven months and was able to experience my love of both in ways I never could have imagined."

She brings that same passion to her job at DNA. She takes pleasure, she says, in "going through the whole creative process, with all of its hurdles, and in the end coming up with something of which you can be proud." She also considers herself to be a perfectionist. "I will do whatever it takes to get a project done . . . even if I have to sacrifice several nights of sleep, I want something to be the best it can be and will do whatever it takes."
