Debbie Nelson & Associates (DNA) assisted the Greenville Chamber Leadership Class 35 in promoting their community project, in which they purchased a new whelping facility for Dogs for Autism (DFA), a donation-based organization that breeds, trains and places dogs with children diagnosed with autism at no cost to their families. The dogs are trained to provide security and independence for the child, alert parents to their needs and offer the child motivation for interacting.

The Leadership Class purchased at auction a portable building from the Greenville County School District for DFA. Formerly a classroom facility, the building will be refitted to serve as DFA’s much-needed whelping facility for the female dogs and their litters.

The Leadership Class oversaw the delivery of the new building to the new site on February 24. DNA worked with the media to promote the event and inform the public about DFA and the Leadership Class’ support of the organization.
