DNA Awarded SCPRSA's 2009 Silver Wing Award

DNA Creative Communications received the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's (SCPRSA) Silver Wing Award in the category of Media Relations-Associations/Government/Nonprofit Organizations. The award recognizes DNA's work promoting the Greenville Housing Fund's Homes for Teachers Program, which resulted in extensive media coverage ranging from business briefs and organizational profiles to Opinion Editorials and full-color featured articles in some of the Upstate's premier publications.

DNA Receives 4 Matrix Awards for 2009

The Greenville Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) presented DNA with four 2009 Matrix Awards, in the following categories: the Single Printed Piece, 4 or More Color award for the Center of Developmental Services (CDS) brochure; the Advertising Campaign award for the First Savers Bank Baseball Series; the Annual Report 4 or More Color award for Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority’s (WCRSA) Annual Report to the community; and the External Newsletter award for Powdersville Water District’s (PWD) bi-annual newsletter.

2008 Matrix Award: Annual Report of 4 or More Color

The Greenville Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) presented DNA with the 2008 Matrix Award for Annual Report of 4 or More Color, in recognition of their work on the Spartanburg Water 2006 Water Quality Report.

The AWC is an international organization that advocates the advancement of women in all aspects of professional communications.

2008 Matrix Award: Direct Mail Packaging

DNA was awarded the Greenville Chapter of AWC’s 2008 Matrix Award in the category of Direct Mail Packaging for their work with South Sport. The campaign included six postcards designed to brand South Sport’s new expanded services, as well as target a specific group of potential clients who are convention exhibitors.

Outstanding Student Matrix Award

Whitney Howell received the 2008 Outstanding Student Matrix Award from the Greenville Chapter of AWC, given in recognition of Howell’s accomplishments in the public relations field and her work completed during her internship at DNA.

Popular Annual Financial Report Award

For the 10th consecutive year, DNA’s client, Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority, received the Popular Annual Financial Report Award (PAFR) for the 2007 Annual Report to the Community. The PAFR is presented annually by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, a nonprofit professional association serving over 12,000 government finance professionals. An impartial panel of judges, selected for their experience in financial reporting, analyze the Annual Financial Reports. The panel looks for comprehensive, high quality reports which are accessible and understandable to the local public. DNA is proud to partner with Western Carolina annually to create this piece.

2007 Matrix Award for Annual Report of 4 Color or More

DNA received the 2007 Matrix Award for Annual Report of 4 Color or More from the Greenville Chapter of AWC. The award recognized DNA’s production of Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority’s Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). The PAFR, distributed each year as an insert through six local newspapers, informs the public of Western Carolina’s environmental stewardship and availability as a community resource. DNA’s work on the PAFR ensures that the report remains professional and informative, while also adding creative elements that make it aesthetically pleasing and easily readable for the public.

2005 Small Business of the Year

After receiving the award for Small Business of the Month in July 2005, DNA received the 2005 Small Business of the Year Award at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s 2005 Annual Meeting. Mark Crocker of Dixon Hughes, PLLC presented the award to Debbie Nelson, in recognition of her firm’s consistent and excellent services in public relations and marketing to clients through a hands-on, relational approach.

DNA Receives Small Business of the Month

DNA was presented with the Greenville Chamber's Small Business of the Month award in July 2005. A committee selected by the Chamber previewed the detailed application and business description submitted by DNA and toured the company prior to making the selection. DNA was chosen for its long-term commitment to its mission and clients.

Ruth Alexander Nicholson Leadership Award

The Community Foundation of Greater Greenville awarded Debbie Nelson the 1994 Ruth Alexander Nicholson Leadership Award, in recognition of her outstanding dedication and leadership in the Greenville community. Debbie has been as an active member of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, serving on numerous Chamber committees, and is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class XXI. She has also served on a variety of nonprofit boards including the Community Foundation of Greater Greenville, A Child’s Haven, the Junior League of Greenville, the Leadership Greenville Board of Regents, the YWCA and Child Watch Greenville.

ADDY Award: Public Service/Collateral Material/Poster

DNA received the 1999 ADDY Award from the American Advertising Federation for Public Service/Collateral Material/Poster, in recognition of their work in creating the Greenville Humane Society’s Begging Poster. The ADDY Awards comprise the largest competition in the advertising industry, receiving more than 60,000 entries each year.
